Dr. Derek Cardenas | D.C.

Dr. Derek Cardenas was raised in Pasco Washington. After high school he moved to Seattle to start his studies at the University of Washington. Alder Grey McGarvey | LMT

Alder Grey has been using massage in their personal life since they were a child poking and prodding at their father. He would direct them to exert pressure on a pressure point, and they could feel the hard muscle release under the pressure of their hand. Alder Grey finds clinical massage work is the most mentally stimulating and satisfying work. They enjoy the challenge of having a client come in with an issue causing them pain or limitations and working with that client to alleviate that issue for them.

Alder Grey knows that addressing muscular fascial adhesions and relieving muscle tension allows the muscles to function optimally. Muscles that move fluidly and with full range of motion allow for the skeleton to be pulled on less, resulting in less pain and easier/longer lasting adjustments. In addition to their education at Seattle Massage School, Alder Grey has taken classes on Neural Reset Therapy that allow them to quickly and painlessly release muscles and adhesions.

Alder Grey has been trained in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger point and Tender point release therapy, Cupping, Myofascial Release, Neural Reset Therapy, Muscle Energy Technique, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and Skin Rolling.

Outside of work, Alder Grey is a passionate martial artist, a book nerd, and a theatre kid at heart.

Dr. Dollar

Meet Dr. Dollar, our 2-year-old therapy dog at Ultra Chiropractic. With her knack for making patients feel at ease, she’ll either join you in a playful chase or gently lick your hand if you’re feeling nervous during an adjustment. Always waiting at the front door, she warmly greets everyone entering our clinic. Dollar reserves her barks exclusively for UPS and Amazon delivery folks, making her a silent, comforting presence for all our visitors. Dollar isn’t just a pet; she’s a key part of our healing environment, ready to welcome you on your next visit.

Alice

This is Stephen’s dog, Alice! A rescue dog from Texas, Alice can often be found lounging in a sunbeam by the front door, ever ready to greet patients as they come in! Always friendly, she gladly accepts pets from anyone who’s willing to provide them.

She will happily keep you company if you happen to show up early for your appointment, or if Adrianna needs you to complete some paperwork at the front desk. Ever the professional, Alice will never bark, as she’s exceptionally quiet and exceedingly demure in her role as Ultra Chiropractic’s unofficial greeter.

Alice is typically in our office Monday through Wednesday from 9am-5pm, with occasional visits on Thursdays and Fridays her very busy schedule allows.
